This game is great, but I wish that the hard mode was harder and the easy mode was easier. Do you think you could add more difficulty options? I think that in the easy mode, you should get health drops all the time, not just when you're at 1 heart. Maybe also an enemy bullet speed reduction?
As for the hard difficulty, I have some good ideas. I think you should be able to turn these on or off as settings, kind of like skulls in Halo. My favorite part about Gun Knight is doing challenge runs, but there aren't many options besides not picking up gun parts and quitting after getting hit.
- Player speed reduction / enemy speed increased
- Some kind of ammo drain or extra bullet usage
- No cursor
- Invisible enemies
- Enemies have double health
- Some kind of boss rush?
- Enemies can move/shoot through walls
- Maybe a stamina mechanic
- Timers for stages
- No pickups
- S L O W F I R E
- No shop
You could add any others you want if you ever end up doing this, and maybe add an ultrahard difficulty? I'm not sure how many masochists are out there, but I would seriously appreciate even a few of these difficulty modifiers in game.
